Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has suggested the family of former prime minister H D Deve Gowda was aware of the plans of Prajwal Revanna, the former prime minister’s grandson and Janata Dal-Secular party MP from Hassan, to leave the country in the wake of the emergence of sex videos and assault allegations linked to him.
Reacting to the open letter written by Deve Gowda on Thursday to his grandson to return to the country to face the law of the land, Siddaramaiah said, “According to me it was he (Deve Gowda) who sent him away, all this is for public consumption. Did Prajwal Revanna leave the country without the knowledge of his family? Did he leave without telling anyone?”.
